Give a more demanding 3.0 EcoBoost build the injector capacity it needs. Nostrum's Stage 3 bundle combines the Big Bore high-pressure pump with six Stage 3 direct injectors, keeping the original injection layout. Compared with Stage 2, you are paying for larger injectors while retaining the same upgraded pump. It suits the 2020-2023 Explorer ST, Lincoln Aviator and Police Interceptor Utility 3.0 EcoBoost applications.

The Big Bore pump flows 47% more than factory. The Stage 3 injectors add 96% over the original 3.0 EcoBoost injector flow, so they are the main step up from Stage 2. They retain an OEM-comparable spray pattern and operate through the engine ECU with the correct characterisation. You are paying for more injector delivery capacity while keeping the same Big Bore pump.
Larger injectors can deliver the required fuel mass in a shorter injection window, or allow the tuner to work with a different rail-pressure strategy. Nostrum discusses reducing commanded pressure from 24 MPa to around 20 MPa in a suitable calibration. That is a tuning possibility, not a pressure setting every owner should apply.
Choose Stage 3 when the Big Bore pump meets your fuel demand and you need the larger injector set. For a 2020-2023 Explorer ST or Lincoln Aviator, Stage X uses the same injectors with the larger Goliath pump, which flows 60% more than factory. Choose that alternative when your engine and fuel combination need the extra pump capacity.

Arrange the calibration before installation. The tuner needs the correct pump and injector data, the intended fuel and the rest of the engine specification. The low-pressure supply must also meet the build’s demand. If ethanol content varies, use a suitable sensing and calibration arrangement rather than treating every fill as the same blend. The injector fitting guide involves removing the intake manifold and fuel rails, with correct seal sizing and a cylinder-by-cylinder injector record. It is a specialist installation rather than an external pump-only swap.
Nostrum's limited lifetime warranty covers its manufactured parts against qualifying manufacturing defects. Installation labour and diagnostic costs are not covered. Keep your purchase details and follow the installation and fuel-system maintenance requirements.
