When your Explorer build needs more fuel than the Big Bore pump can supply, Stage X is the next step. It pairs Nostrum's 1200-250 Goliath pump with six Stage 3 direct injectors, increasing capacity at both ends of the high-pressure system. You get the hardware to support a higher-demand engine and fuel combination, while retaining direct injection and ECU control.

The Stage 3 injector set is already the same as the one in the smaller-pump Stage 3 bundle, with 96% more flow than the original 3.0 EcoBoost injectors. Here, the Goliath pump raises pump flow to 60% above factory, compared with 47% for the Big Bore. That is the reason to pay for Stage X: the larger pump and its installation hardware give a higher-demand build additional pump capacity.
Nostrum rates the fuel-system potential at 931 WHP on petrol and 752 WHP on E85. Those are supported-build capacity estimates, not power added by the kit. Fuel demand, engine airflow, low-pressure supply and calibration determine how much of that capacity the car can use.
The 1200-250 Goliath pump, six Stage 3 injectors, mounting flange, custom stainless high-pressure tubes with OEM-style fittings, AN06-to-SAE quick-connect and AN06-to-ORB adaptors, electrical harness adaptor, damping sleeve and clips, and installation information are included. The stainless welded pump and formed lines make the hardware more than a loose pump and injector set.
We would choose Stage X when the intended airflow and fuel demand need the Goliath's extra pump capacity. For a 2020-2023 Explorer ST or Lincoln Aviator, the Stage 3 bundle gives you the same large injectors with the smaller Big Bore pump. If that pump meets your fuel demand, it is the lower-capacity alternative to compare. This Stage X package covers the 2020-2024 Explorer ST/Platinum and Lincoln Aviator 3.0 EcoBoost.
Arrange the HP Tuners calibration with the installation. Your tuner needs the correct pump and injector data, intended fuel and engine specification, with enough low-pressure supply for the build. Varying ethanol content also needs a suitable sensing and calibration arrangement. Calibration and ESSIM equipment are separate. Fitting the injectors involves intake-manifold and fuel-rail removal, correct seal sizing and a cylinder-by-cylinder injector record.

Nostrum's limited lifetime warranty covers its manufactured parts against qualifying manufacturing defects. Installation labour and diagnostic costs are not covered. Keep your purchase details and follow the installation and fuel-system maintenance requirements.
