Stage X is the top of the 3.0 EcoBoost ladder and the only Explorer package where the pump architecture changes. In place of the Big Bore used at Stages 1 to 3 it fits the 1200-250 Goliath — the largest HPFP Nostrum has brought to the EcoBoost market — flowing 60% more than stock, fully stainless welded, with OEM-style vacuum-brazed hardlines and an OEM quick-connect fitting. Behind it sit six Stage 3 direct injectors at 96% over factory. For a 2020-2024 Explorer ST, Platinum or Lincoln Aviator that has outgrown a Big Bore pump, this stops the fuel system being the part you keep revisiting.
The Big Bore is a larger version of the factory idea. The Goliath is a different scale of pump: 60% over stock rather than 47%, welded stainless throughout, with vacuum-brazed hardlines made the way an OEM line is made. The same Stage 3 injectors are used as in the Stage 3 bundle, so the entire difference is pump capacity and the hardware to mount it.
The parts list tells you what the job involves. A flange, two AN06 adapters, stainless hard lines and a damping sleeve all ship in the box because a pump this size needs its feed and mounting done properly. The pump alone is the Explorer ST Goliath 1200-250 HPFP.

No. Nostrum recommends ethanol here and supports straight gasoline, rating the fuel system higher on gasoline. Ethanol sensing itself is the separate ESSIM kit.
