The 3.0 EcoBoost Nano V6 in the Explorer ST, Explorer Platinum and Lincoln Aviator responds well to a tune, right up to the point where the standard high pressure fuel pump gives up. This Nostrum kit answers that: 47% more flow than the original pump, which Nostrum notes is 20% larger than the XDI evo unit, in a fully welded stainless body so there is no joint to weep. It works to 248 bar, is ethanol compatible, and Nostrum's guidance is to run E85 from the pump rather than mixing intermediate blends. On the road that means more boost earlier in the rev range and a real lift in torque once the calibration is written around it.
On a stock 3.0, rail pressure falls away as soon as you ask for ethanol and extra boost together, and the tuner's only safe move is to back off. That is why so many Explorer ST builds stall at a modest map. A pump with real headroom moves the conversation on: pressure holds through the pull, and the same hardware carries you through a downpipe, intercooler or turbo upgrade later. Nostrum rates it as supporting up to 750 whp on petrol or 700 whp on E85 in a fully built and calibrated car.

This kit is the mid-step at 47% over standard flow. The Goliath 1200-250 is the larger pump above it at 60% over stock, and it is the one to choose if a big turbo and a permanent E85 diet are already in the plan.
Nostrum states this kit for the Explorer ST, Explorer Platinum and Lincoln Aviator. The Interceptor uses the same engine family but is not on this pump's fitment list, so check the exact vehicle with Hoonies first.
Not necessarily on a first ethanol map. Once boost climbs, the nozzles become the limit, and the matched route is the Explorer ST Stage 1 bundle.
