This MST Performance inlet pipe kit is a specialist part for serious B58 Gen 2 builds: it is designed to work only with MST intake kits and the Pure 800 turbocharger upgrade, feeding the bigger turbo through larger-diameter pipework. For 2019-on BMW 4 Series (G22 G23 G82 G83) applications running that hardware, it bolts on directly with no cutting — completing the inlet side so the upgraded turbo is not breathing through standard-sized plumbing.
MST states this inlet works only with its own intake kits and the Pure 800 turbo — it is not a general upgrade for standard cars. If your B58 runs the factory turbocharger, the OEM-style B58 inlet kit is the version to buy, and the MST B58 cold air intake for the 4 Series covers the intake side itself.

No — MST designs this inlet specifically around the Pure 800 turbocharger with an MST intake. On a standard turbo, use MST's OEM-style B58 inlet kit instead.
A larger turbo draws more air; keeping standard-sized inlet plumbing reintroduces the restriction the upgrade was meant to remove. This kit sizes the inlet to suit.
It is a direct bolt-on with no cutting or modification, designed to integrate with the MST intake hardware already on the car.
