On the B58 Gen 2 straight-six, the factory turbo inlet is the restrictive link between airbox and turbocharger. This MST Performance OEM-style inlet pipe kit replaces it with a larger-diameter pipe while keeping your standard airbox in place — a subtle, well-hidden upgrade for the BMW M240i (G42/G87 range), M340i (G20/G80/G28), M440i (G22/G23/G82/G83), Z4 M40i (G29) and Toyota GR Supra (A90/A91) that improves the path feeding the turbo without rebuilding the whole intake.
Inlet pipes are unglamorous but load-bearing: everything the turbo breathes passes through one. MST's OEM-style kit is the low-key route — stock airbox retained, larger pipe hidden in the standard position. If you would rather have MST's aluminium inlet with the textured internal surface, see the alternative B58 inlet pipe, or pair an inlet with the MST B58 cold air intake for the 4 Series.
