A permanent air supply makes tyre-pressure changes easier to fit into every off-road trip. The ARB CKBLTA12 brushless twin gives you high airflow on board, so you can air down for the trail and inflate for the road without unpacking a separate compressor case.

The brushless motor arrangement delivers 260 L/min of free air at 0 kPa and 176 L/min at 200 kPa. Free-air output is 50% higher than the corresponding ARB brushed twin compressor. Actual tyre-filling time depends on tyre size, starting pressure and valve restriction, but the extra airflow is useful when you have several tyres to fill.
A fixed compressor keeps your air supply in the vehicle, ready for a tyre-inflation hose or a properly connected Air Locker system. This twin delivers 176 L/min at 200 kPa, compared with 88 L/min from the CKBLP12 brushless portable single. Choose the twin when you want that higher airflow and a permanent installation; choose the portable kit when taking the compressor between suitable 12 V vehicles is more useful to you. The portable single includes its carry case and inflation hose. This on-board twin needs a separately purchased hose and, for Air Lockers, the separate 171503 manifold kit.
Electronic speed control responds to pressure, temperature and supply voltage. Active cooling fans continue after the compressor stops until it has cooled. Built-in protection monitors voltage changes, over-current and motor stall, with audio and visual diagnostics to help identify a problem.
Staggered motor starting reduces the initial electrical surge. Quick-release mounts make fitting and removal easier, and the onboard design removes the need for external switching relays. If voltage falls too far, the system can shut one motor down and continue at reduced output. The 7.2 kg kit is compact at 210 x 280 x 100 mm, giving you more mounting options when space is tight. Choose the position for proper cooling and access to the filters.
For Air Locker operation, add the separate ARB 171503 manifold kit and correct locker plumbing and controls. A suitable inflation hose and digital tyre inflator complete a useful tyre-inflation setup.
The CKBLTA12 has a 100% duty-cycle rating at 22 degrees C. Plan the fused high-current electrical supply and mounting position for cooling, service access and protected wiring.

The brushless motor has no carbon brushes to wear out and gives 50% more free-air output than the corresponding ARB brushed model. It also adds electronic control, active cooling and diagnostics.
The 260 L/min figure is free air at 0 kPa. At 200 kPa, output is 176 L/min. Tyre valves and increasing pressure affect actual filling speed, so compare figures measured at the same pressure.
Yes, with the separate 171503 manifold and the correct air lines, solenoids and controls. The twin's extra flow is useful for tyre inflation as well as providing locker air.
They continue cooling the compressor after use. Leave power connected as directed until the cooling cycle finishes, rather than packing away a hot unit immediately.
