If you regularly lower tyre pressures off road, a permanently fitted compressor makes the return to road pressure much more convenient. The 12V ARB CKMTA12 gives you the airflow of two brushed motors in a compact unit, ready to use without unpacking a portable compressor at every stop.

The twin-cylinder design delivers 174.4 L/min at zero back pressure and 131.8 L/min at 200kPa, with the latter figure showing output against a typical tyre-inflation pressure. That makes it a strong choice for regular tyre inflation or an on-board air system. Actual inflation time depends on tyre size, starting pressure and hose arrangement.
A pressure switch controls the supply between 135 and 150psi. The 100% duty-cycle rating applies under room-temperature conditions; ventilation and ambient heat still matter when you choose the mounting position.
Ball-bearing motor construction, hard-anodised cylinder bores and PTFE-impregnated carbon-fibre piston seals reduce friction, while the cooling fan and anodised mounting brackets help remove heat. The fan is brushless and IP55 rated; the two compressor motors are brushed. Thermal protection and an over-pressure safety valve protect the unit during demanding use.
Anti-vibration material is integrated into the mount. The two relocatable air filters have washable sintered-bronze cartridges. They give your installer more freedom to draw cleaner, cooler air from an appropriate position and make filter maintenance straightforward.
The compressor comes assembled, with a wiring loom, dash switch, relocatable air filters, mounting fasteners and installation instructions. Choose a suitable mounting location and a 12V supply with the correct circuit protection. The on-board unit weighs 8.8kg and measures 190 x 275 x 102mm (length x width x height).
For tyre inflation, add the appropriate air outlet and hose equipment. An ARB Air Locker manifold kit provides the regulated connections needed for Air Locker installation; lockers and inflation accessories are separate. Air-tool use needs an appropriately sized reservoir and a tool whose air demand suits the system.
This is the 12V version. The 24V brushed twin compressor is a separate product, so match the compressor to your vehicle's electrical system. If you want a more compact 12V unit, the brushless single compressor is another option; for greater output in the brushless range, see the 12V brushless twin.

The on-board kit supplies the compressor, loom, switch and mounting hardware. Add the appropriate outlet and tyre-inflation hose for your installation.
It is rated for continuous running under room-temperature conditions. Mount it with adequate ventilation and follow the operating instructions; hot conditions can still bring the thermal protection into use.
Use this version with a 12V DC supply. Choose the correctly rated compressor for your vehicle rather than connecting this unit to a different-voltage system.
