The FA24 makes easy power on bolt-ons, then the factory fuel system draws a line. Nostrum's upgraded direct injectors move it: 24% more flow than standard, 1450 cc/min at a commanded 240 bar rail, supplied as a set of four flow tested and batched with serial numbers and tuning data. They stay under factory ECU control on COBB, so a 2022-on WRX, Ascent, Legacy XT or Outback XT gains the fuel without gaining a second fuel system to look after.
Open the box and one of the four looks different. The FA24 has a cast aluminium coolant crossover pipe that fouls a standard connector and makes the install awkward at best. Nostrum extended and repositioned the harness connector on that injector so it clears the casting, and it goes into cylinder 1. The set uses custom orientation spring clips to lock into the fuel rail correctly. No permanent changes to the engine are needed.
Nostrum quotes 600 whp on gasoline and 480 whp on E85 as the capacity of this set on a build that already has the air handling, mechanical strength and calibration to use it - a ceiling for a fully supported car. In practice it means the injector stops being the thing your tuner works around, so the calibration can chase the fuel target through the top of the rev range instead of protecting it. The spray pattern is OEM equivalent, so idle and cold start behave.
Check your car against the table below - turbocharged FA24 only. A calibration is required: Nostrum says a tune is needed for good cold start and accurate fuel trims and advises against driving before it is loaded, so line the tuning up with the install. The guide goes to dealers and certified tuners rather than owners. To lift the mid range too, add the FA24 high pressure fuel pump, or take both together in the FA24 bundle.

No. The naturally aspirated FA24 in the BRZ and GT86 uses Toyota's D4S system with a different style of direct injector. Those cars run port injection alongside direct injection, which makes port injector upgrades a simpler route.
Yes - Nostrum lists the 2019-on Ascent alongside the WRX, Legacy XT and Outback XT. The same calibration requirement applies.
