Summary

This is a bare Stanadyne 1050-250 high pressure fuel pump core - the pump itself, with no engine installation accessories or hardware in the box. It runs a 10.5 mm piston and holds 250 bar sustained rail pressure, against the 180 bar standard rating of a production GM LT1 pump, which puts it level with GM's LT4 pump on pressure while keeping an outline comparable to the LT1 unit. Nostrum supplies these cores for shop and installer use in minimum quantities of six: a component for a fuel system you are specifying, not a weekend bolt-on.

Best For

  • Workshops and engine builders designing a direct injection fuel system around a known pump core
  • Gen 5 LT builds wanting sustained rail pressure above what a production LT1 pump holds
  • Swaps and one-off installs where the pump is adapted rather than dropped into a standard location

Where This Core Sits Against A Production LT1 Pump

Rail pressure is what lets a direct injector empty itself in the time it has, so the pump's ceiling becomes the calibration's ceiling. A production LT1 pump is rated to 180 bar. This core holds 250 bar (25 MPa, 3636 psi) with a 10.5 mm piston and 10 mm of maximum piston travel, displacing 1558.6 mm³ per cam revolution on a three lobe cam, in an outline close to the GM LT1 pump Nostrum identifies as 12697966 and 12625817.

What You Still Have To Source

Everything except the pump. The high pressure side is an M14x1 male thread with an inner female cone and the low pressure side a 3/8 inch SAE quick connect male fitting, so lines, seals, drive hardware and mounting parts are all specified around those. Nostrum expects LT-based installs to take their installation accessories from GM parts sources.

Key Specs

  • Manufacturer: Stanadyne Inc, supplied by Nostrum High Performance
  • Product Type: bare high pressure fuel pump core
  • SKU: H116-1607
  • Piston diameter: 10.5 mm
  • Max operating pressure: 250 bar (25 MPa / 3636 psi)
  • Fittings: M14x1 high pressure, 3/8 inch SAE quick connect low pressure
  • Included: pump core only - no installation accessories or hardware
  • Supply: shop and installer line, minimum order quantity of six pumps

Fitment And Setup Checks

  • Treat this as a component in a fuel system you are designing. Lines, seals, drive and mounting hardware are all yours to source.
  • Confirm your cam lobe profile and stroke against the displacement figure above. Nostrum quotes it on a 6 mm three lobe cam and our own catalogue record carries a differing stroke note, so check with Hoonies first.
  • Match the M14x1 outlet and the 3/8 inch SAE quick connect inlet to the lines you are running.
  • Higher rail pressure needs a calibration written for it, and a low pressure side that keeps the inlet fed.
  • Minimum order quantity is six, so this suits trade orders rather than a single retail purchase.

Questions before you order

Frequently asked questions

Is this a bolt-on kit?

No. It is the bare pump. Fittings, lines, seals, drive parts and mounting hardware are all sourced separately.

What do the numbers 1050-250 mean?

The first figure identifies the flow capacity class, tied here to the 10.5 mm piston; the second is the maximum working pressure in bar. So a 1050-250 is the 10.5 mm core rated to 250 bar.

How does it compare with the 1150-250?

Same 250 bar rating, larger piston, different low pressure inlet - see the Stanadyne 1150-250 core. For a complete vehicle kit, try the high pressure fuel pump range.
