The Nostrum 800cc universal port fuel injector is the larger of Nostrum's two single-cone USCar injectors, and the one to specify when a high ethanol blend or a bigger port setup would leave the 640 running near the top of its duty. It keeps the same cone spray that suits a normal inlet port and the same USCar plug most aftermarket looms are built for, so moving up the range is a flow decision rather than a re-plumb and a rewire. Each listing covers one injector, so you can buy per cylinder, buy a spare, or replace a single failure.
Bigger is not automatically better. A larger injector gives you headroom at full load but shortens pulse width at idle and cruise, which is where metering gets harder. On pump petrol with modest per-cylinder demand, the 640cc injector is usually the tidier choice. Once ethanol content climbs or capacity grows, the extra 160 cc/min here stops being spare capacity and starts being the reason the setup works at all.
A cone spreads fuel out as it leaves the tip rather than sending it as one narrow stream, which suits a conventional inlet port with a reasonable run to the valve. Where the injector sits very close to the valve or fires down a short straight tract, a pencil stream injector from the same range is the better match.

It depends on how much fuel each cylinder has to pass, not on the headline flow number. Work back from your target, cylinder count, rail pressure and the ethanol content you plan to run, and leave duty cycle in hand. Send us those figures and we will tell you whether this or a larger injector in the range suits.
