The Gen 3 Coyote is fed by two fuel systems at once: direct injectors spraying into the cylinder and port injectors in the inlet. This Nostrum kit upgrades the direct injection side, replacing the camshaft-driven high pressure fuel pump with a Big Bore unit that flows 47% more fuel than the factory pump at 1.86 cc/rev and 240 bar. That is the side that limits a boosted or ethanol-fuelled Coyote first, which is why this is the part people reach for before touching injectors. It is welded stainless with a CFD-optimised damper housing and integrated SAE quick-connect fittings, it retains the standard low pressure fuel line, and Nostrum designed the kit to be fully reversible to the factory fuel system with no modification of OEM parts and no trimming of the intake.
On a Gen 3 Coyote the ECU blends direct and port injection by load and conditions. Direct injection does the heavy lifting where cylinder pressure is highest, so when a power adder or a high ethanol blend arrives, the high pressure pump runs out first. Adding 47% more pump capacity raises that ceiling without touching either injector set. On an earlier 2011-2017 5.0 the picture is different: those engines are port injected, and the route there is the 950cc port fuel injector set.

No. It is the direct injection pump. The port injectors and the in-tank pump stay as they are unless your power target calls for them separately.
Nostrum designed the kit to be fully reversible to the factory fuel system, with no OEM parts modified and no intake trimming during installation.
The reasons to fit it are boost, nitrous or ethanol. On a naturally aspirated car on petrol the standard pump is rarely the limit, so spend elsewhere first.
