Once the pump is sorted, the injectors become the next thing standing between an N55 or S55 and a bigger map. Nostrum's Stage 2 direct injectors flow 1410 cc/min at 100 bar, which is 55% more than the stock S55 injector and 12% more than the EU5 part, and they are rated to 250 bar of operating pressure. They arrive as a tested, flow-matched set of six with OEM decoupling rings already fitted, a serial-numbered data card and a quick-start guide, so the set going into the engine is a known quantity rather than six loose parts. This is the middle step in Nostrum's BMW ladder and covers a wide slice of the N55 range as well as the S55 M cars.
Stage 2 at 1410 cc/min is the sensible choice for most tuned road cars, and it covers far more of the BMW range: 335i, 435i, M135i, M235i, 535i, 640i, 740i, X3/X4 35i and X5/X6 35i are all on the list alongside the M3, M4 and M2 Competition. The Stage 3 set steps up to 1675 cc/min but covers a much narrower group of cars. If the build is a heavily boosted, ethanol-fed S55, look at Stage 3. For everything else on this list, Stage 2 is the better match.
Check your chassis code and year against the fitment table below, since the N55 coverage runs well past the obvious 335i and 435i cars. A calibration on EcuTek, Bootmod3 or MHD is required. If the fuel pump is still standard, fit the N55 1170-250 Gauntlet pump alongside these, or buy the pair together as a bundle.

Every injector in the set is tested and matched, so the six deliver the same amount of fuel as each other. That keeps the fuelling even across cylinders and gives the tuner a stable starting point.
Yes. The same set covers both engines, which is why the fitment table runs from the M135i through to the X5 35i as well as the M3 and M4.
Yes. Bigger injectors change the fuelling maths completely, so the car needs recalibrating on EcuTek, Bootmod3 or MHD before it is driven.
