The Type R badge has always been about visible intent, and this version of MST Performance's FL5 cold air intake carries that through to the engine bay. It runs the same proven layout as the rest of the range — 152mm large-diameter dry high-flow filter, powder-coated heat shield, aluminium pipework, direct fit on the 2022-on Civic Type R — in the finish shown in this page's photos, for builds that make a statement before the engine even starts.
Mechanically nothing separates the four versions of this system — heat-shielded 152mm filter, smooth pipework, direct FL5 fit. What changes is the statement the bay makes. If a subtler look suits your car better, the standard version and another finish option are a click away.

Just the filter: wash the dry element around every 20,000 km and replace it at around 60,000 km. Everything else is fit and forget.
