The ARB Base Rack in 1545mm x 1445mm is the near-square platform in ARB's modular roof rack system - the foundation a touring roof is built on. Base Rack platforms carry the load; the vehicle-specific mount kit (sold separately) is what fixes this size to your particular roof, so one proven platform design serves an entire fleet of 4x4s and vans. If your load plan calls for a wide, close-to-square footprint, this is that platform.
The platform does not bolt straight to a roof - confirm the ARB mount kit for your vehicle and check its supported platform sizes include 1545mm x 1445mm before ordering. Check your roof load rating against everything you plan to carry, and plan accessory positions (awning, recovery boards, lighting) before the first install so wiring and clamp space land where you want them.
