Cargo is easier to secure when the attachment points are in useful positions. This set of four ARB BASE Rack eyebolts fits the dovetail mounting system, allowing you to position matched tie-down points around the rack or cross beams.

The clamps attach to the dovetail without needing to feed them along a T-slot from an end opening. You can change their positions as the cargo changes and leave them fitted when they are not in use.
Powder-coated aluminium mounting components work with forged steel eye nuts. Fit and tighten the hardware to the instructions, then select straps and attachment positions suited to the cargo and the full restraint system. The lashing capacity is 440lb, approximately 200kg. That is the restraint rating, separate from how much weight the roof can carry. The set weighs 0.7kg and uses 35mm clamps with M8 x 20 x 3mm washers.
Tie-down fittings secure the load; they do not increase the roof or rack carrying limit. Count the rack, mounts, accessories and cargo within the permitted total. The BASE Rack ratchet strap set is a relevant separate restraint option, and more matched holders are in our roof rack accessories range. The BASE Rack maximum is 25kg per cross slat. Tighten the eyebolt fittings to 22Nm (16lb-ft) as shown in fitting guide 3789982, and check the fasteners regularly.
