Give your Jeep stronger steering and a finish worth showing off
The polished 2 in rods make this a steering upgrade you can appreciate before the first trail. Behind the finish are 7075-T6 aluminium, forged steel ends and the ProLock locking system. Our KIT125D44NF is the wide-Dana-44, no-flip version for the Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT, supplied as a complete tie rod and drag link kit.
SKU: KIT125D44NF
What the larger aluminium rods give you
Both adjusting rods are 2 in 7075-T6 aluminium with a polished finish. The material combines substantial section size with some flex and recovery when it meets an obstacle, while the forged ends carry metal-to-metal bearings. Built-in anti-flop bearings in the tie rod ends and right-hand drag link end allow steering articulation while controlling unwanted fore-and-aft movement.
ProLock keeps the adjustment secure
Keyway washers mechanically connect the ends to the adjusting sleeves, with set-screw jam nuts securing the assembly. The connection is designed to resist unwanted rod rotation under load. It is useful hardware for a Jeep that gets used on rough tracks, backed up by routine checks rather than a fit-and-forget promise.
Wide Dana 44 and standard under-knuckle steering
This is the wide-Dana-44 version, normally associated with Rubicon, Mojave and Max Tow applications. Identify the axle by the existing tie rod's ball-stud-centre measurement: the wide assembly measures 60.5-61.5 in. A narrow Dana 44 measures 57.5-58.5 in and uses the different Dana-30-length selection. This kit retains standard under-knuckle steering; the no-flip option is normally suggested for lifts of 4.5 in or less.
Fitting and your steering stabiliser
The steering stabiliser bracket is a separate purchase, selected to suit your damper. The no-flip version does not use the flip kit's drilled taper-sleeve conversion. Professional fitting and alignment lets you get the benefit of the stronger linkage with the steering wheel and toe set correctly. Keep the drag-link minimum-engagement mark covered and check clearance through steering and suspension movement. Recheck the jam nuts after 500 miles, then every 5,000 miles or at oil changes. Do not stack the ProLock and alternative Belleville washers; fit the arrangement specified in the instructions.
Ball joints to match the rest of the work
If the ball joints need replacing too, our KIT113 upper and lower ball joint kit covers the factory JL/JT applications. It supplies four smooth-housing joints with bronze bearings; check the axle bores for the correct press fit before fitting.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the wide-axle or narrow-axle version?
Wide Dana 44. The existing tie rod measures 60.5-61.5 in between ball-stud centres. Narrow Dana 44 axles use the different Dana-30-length version.
Is it a flip kit?
No. KIT125D44NF retains standard under-knuckle steering. The no-flip option is normally suggested for lifts of 4.5 in or less.
Is the steering stabiliser bracket included?
No. It is a separate purchase chosen for the steering damper you use.
What is ProLock doing?
Its keyway washer mechanically locks the rod end to the adjusting sleeve, while the set-screw jam nut secures the assembly against unwanted adjustment changes.
Do I fit both sets of locking washers?
No. Use the ProLock arrangement or the alternative Belleville arrangement as instructed, not both stacked together.
Will it cure every steering wobble?
It upgrades the links and their locking arrangement. Have any wobble investigated across the whole front end so worn joints, tyres or other steering components are addressed too.
