Fogstar Drift.
Lithium leisure power chosen around your setup.
Fogstar is a UK lithium-battery specialist, and Drift is its leisure-battery range for applications such as campervans, motorhomes and off-grid power systems. The batteries use lithium iron phosphate, usually called LiFePO4, with battery-management electronics forming part of the package. The wider Drift family includes different capacities, sizes and generations, with heating and monitoring features dependent on the exact version. At Hoonies, explore Drift, ECO and PRO options around the energy you need to store and the space available for the installation. A battery is part of a complete electrical system: charging equipment, inverter demand, wiring and operating temperature all help determine the right choice, alongside the specification of the individual battery.
Capacity and voltage · Different familiesWhy we choose Fogstar Drift
We choose Fogstar Drift because the range gives customers meaningful choices within a lithium leisure-power setup. Capacity is one part of the decision; physical size, management electronics and the features of the particular battery matter too. Comparing those details helps you specify a system for the equipment you actually use. The range is especially useful when a customer wants to plan charging, monitoring and cold-weather requirements before committing to a battery.
Start with the energy you use
Battery capacity needs to relate to the lights, fridge, electronics and other equipment you want to run between charges. Consider their consumption and your charging opportunities together. Fogstar’s range offers different capacities, making it possible to compare stored energy alongside the physical room available in a camper or touring setup.
Compare the exact battery generation
Drift, ECO and PRO names describe families, but features can vary between versions and generations. Heating, monitoring, dimensions and electrical limits should be taken from the specific battery listing. That detail is useful when comparing alternatives, especially if remote monitoring or charging in colder conditions is important to your intended use.
Build around compatible charging equipment
The battery-management system is one part of the installation. Your mains charger, solar controller, alternator-charging equipment and inverter still need appropriate specifications and settings for the battery. Considering those components together helps you plan the wiring, charging process and system capacity instead of treating a battery swap as the whole project.
- Estimate demand List the equipment you want to power and how long it runs.
- Check the installation Confirm dimensions, voltage and charging equipment.
- Compare the exact model Review heating, monitoring and warranty in its current documentation.
