Keep your pickup bed covered and make better use of the space above it. The 17900120 mounting kit connects a compatible ARB BASE Rack to a SportLid V, giving you an additional place for properly secured equipment without taking more space inside the bed.

The kit includes left and right blade brackets, rubber packers, stud plates and the specified fitting fasteners. The blades attach to the SportLid V rail channels, and the compatible BASE Rack attaches to the blades.
The fitting instructions cover BASE Rack 1770050 and 1770070. Our 1770070 platform, 1255 x 1285mm and 1770050 platform, 1255 x 1445mm are separate products. Choose the platform size listed for your particular vehicle and SportLid V combination.
The SportLid V capacity for the specified combination is 75kg, subject to model and driving conditions. After allowing for the rack and mounts, that leaves 55kg for cargo with 1770070, or 53kg with 1770050, where the 75kg limit applies.
Keep the load evenly distributed and secured, with no more than 25kg on an individual BASE Rack beam. A lower applicable vehicle or cover limit takes priority.
Useful additions include BASE Rack eyebolt tie-downs and BASE Rack ratchet straps. The roof rack accessories area has further matching attachments for the equipment you carry.
Check fastener torque after the first 500km and at regular service intervals. Also check the clamps and load security before travelling.

This is the mounting kit. Select the compatible platform separately for the approved SportLid V and vehicle combination.
75kg is the SportLid V capacity used in the guide. With platform 1770070, the rack and mount weigh 20kg, leaving 55kg for cargo where that 75kg limit applies. Model and driving conditions can reduce the applicable limit.
The fitting guide includes 1770050, but the platform must also suit your particular SportLid V and vehicle application. Its rack and mount weigh 22kg, leaving 53kg under the guide's 75kg limit.
Use suitable rated restraints attached to the correct rack points. Spread the load across the platform and keep each beam within its 25kg limit.
