Choose this kit when you want the platform, cab mounting blades and fin together for your Hilux Mk8-9 Double Cab 2015 onwards. The 1255 x 1155 mm platform gives camping bags and recovery gear a place outside the cabin, with the vehicle-specific mounting parts included. Lay out the equipment you normally take within that footprint, then allow for its weight within the Hilux roof and mounting limits.
The fully welded extruded aluminium construction gives the platform its strength. Internal bracing runs through the beams, adding rigidity without making the outside of the rack larger. The low profile keeps the rack close to the roof line and helps reduce wind noise, so the drive to camp can be as enjoyable as the stay.
The dovetail runs around the perimeter and along the edges of the internal beams. Matching clamps attach where you need them, so you can move a tie-down or accessory without sliding it past everything else in a T-slot channel. Appropriate BASE Rack adapters also let you use many existing T-slot accessories.
Removable UV-resistant corner caps give access inside the beams for concealed wiring. That is useful when adding suitable rack lights: the cables can follow a neater route instead of hanging around your luggage. The platform arrives fully assembled, ready for its mounting system.
Our roof rack accessories range includes BASE Rack-compatible tie-downs, recovery-board mounts, awning brackets and light mounts. The BASE Rack eyebolt set and 3 m ratchet straps are useful additions for securing suitable cargo. Choose fittings marked for BASE Rack and check any accessory-specific size or load conditions.
The matching Hilux cab mounting blades are included in this kit. Install them using the vehicle-specific instructions and allow for the platform, mounts, accessories and cargo when calculating your roof load. Spread loads across the beams and keep within the 25 kg limit per cross beam. A larger platform gives you more packing space; your vehicle roof limit still determines how much you can carry.
