A tree trunk protector gives the winch recovery its own broad webbing anchor connection. ARB735 is a 5m strap with 12000kg minimum breaking strength, designed for the appropriate tree-anchor role in a correctly planned winch recovery.

Use the protector around a suitable tree according to the recovery instructions, with the correct connecting equipment. It keeps the winch line out of direct contact with the trunk and spreads the contact over the webbing arrangement.
12000kg is the minimum breaking strength, not a working load limit or vehicle mass allowance. The anchor, strap, connectors, line geometry and winch all need to suit the forces in the recovery. A winch extension strap is a separate item when the anchor is further away.
