Summary
Nostrum's upgraded direct injectors for the FA20DIT, the 2.0 turbo in the 2015-2021 WRX and 2014-2018 Forester XT. They flow 10% more than the factory injector at up to 150 bar and come as a set of four, flow tested and serialised with their tuning data. What matters on this platform is that they stay under stock ECU control, so a WRX chasing more from an intake, intercooler and low pressure pump gets the extra top-end fuel without a secondary injection controller or a methanol tank. The revised part also closes faster than the injector it replaced.
Best For
A tuned VA-chassis WRX out of injector at the top of the rev range and unable to hold its fuel target.
Moving to pump E85, where volume demand jumps beyond what the standard injector was sized for.
Keeping COBB or EcuTek on the factory ECU rather than adopting auxiliary fuel control.
Keeping The Stock ECU On A Tuned FA20DIT
Most routes to more fuel on a direct injected Subaru mean adding a system: port injection with its own controller, or methanol with a tank to fill and nozzles to keep clear. Nostrum's claim is that none of that is needed, because this is the only DI injector upgrade for the FA20F that works with the standard ECU. The outline matches the OE injector and the spray pattern is OEM equivalent, so idle, cold start and drivability behave as the calibration expects.
Pairing The Injectors With The FA20 Pump
A direct injection engine is usually pump limited in the mid range and injector limited up top. Nostrum recommends running these alongside the FA20DIT high pressure fuel pump, which flows 37% more than the factory unit, so the boost dialled in early is still supported as the revs climb. Buying both? The Stage 1 bundle is the pre-matched route.

Fitment And Setup Checks
Nostrum lists the 2015-2021 WRX (FA20F, VA chassis) and 2014-2018 Forester XT (FA20E), and states this is not a direct fit for the 2022 WRX, which moved to the FA24F. A tune is not needed to start the car, but Nostrum recommends calibrating after install to keep drivability right. One note when booking that: the current tuning guide matches this part number, and injectors bought before March 2024 under the older number use different data, so check your tuner has the right file. The 620 whp gasoline and 460 whp E85 figures are fuel-system capacity on a fully supported build.

Questions before you order
Frequently asked questions
Can I drive the car straight after fitting them?
Nostrum says a tune is not required to start the car, but recommends calibrating after install to maintain drivability. Book the tuning before you fit them.
Will they fit my BRZ?
No. The FA20 in the BRZ uses a completely different style of direct injector.
Ten percent does not sound like much - is it worth it?
On a direct injection engine the injector limit bites at high rpm, where crank angle per injection event runs short. Ten percent there lets the calibrator hold the fuel target at peak power instead of pulling boost.
