This Process West intercooler and pipe kit gives your 3.0 V6 diesel more charge-air cooling capacity, helping it sustain performance under load. You get the larger cooler and its matching pipework together, replacing the factory intercooler and pipes in one upgrade.

An intercooler cools the air after the turbo has compressed it, before that air reaches the engine. When you're using the engine's performance repeatedly, removing that heat becomes more valuable. The 480 x 180 x 125 mm bar-and-plate core gives your Ranger a more substantial cooler for that job, with construction suited to high boost and demanding off-road use.
We'd put this upgrade on the shortlist for a Ranger that regularly tows or carries touring equipment. The appeal is being able to make better use of the V6's performance over a demanding drive, with the cooling hardware to support it.
In Process West's comparison of three back-to-back dyno runs, this kit produced lower intercooler outlet temperatures and 12-15 kW more power at the wheels than the standard intercooler. Those repeated runs show why cooling matters beyond the first acceleration. The figures describe that test; your result depends on the vehicle, calibration and operating conditions.
The kit includes the intercooler, replacement hot-side and cold-side pipework, silicone connections, hose clamps, the cast sensor elbow and cable bracket. It replaces the factory cooler and piping as a matched assembly, so you don't need to buy a separate intercooler pipe upgrade to complete this installation.
Your original temperature sensor, lower fan duct and four rubber intercooler mounting grommets are reused. The factory airbox and bash plate are removed for access and refitted afterwards.
Choose black for a discreet finish or silver if you prefer the exposed metal look. Both options have the same 480 x 180 x 125 mm core dimensions and the same application. We sell both at the same price, so you can choose the appearance you prefer.
This is a direct replacement for the intercooler and pipework on the next-generation Ranger 3.0 V6 diesel. We recommend professional fitting, including correct sensor transfer, pipe alignment and a leak check once the system is assembled.
After muddy trips, check that the cooling fins are clear so air can pass through the core. Include the hoses, clamps and mounting points in routine inspections, especially after other work around the engine bay.
