The M140i and M240i built cult followings on one engine: the 3.0T B58. This MST Performance cold air intake system lets it breathe and be heard, replacing the restrictive standard air box with a black powder-coated inlet pipe and heat shield, a red dry pleated filter and a silicone joiner. The design feeds cold air towards the turbocharger for sharper throttle response and a proper induction note. One part covers B58 1, 2, 3 and 4 Series F-chassis cars from 2016 on, with a full fitting kit and step-by-step instructions included.
Heat is the enemy of intake charge, so this kit pairs its heat shield with a route designed to deliver cold air straight to the turbocharger. The design targets improved throttle response and a stronger induction note over the standard restrictive air box, on standard cars and already-tuned ones alike. The dry pleated filter is easy to maintain, and the powder-coated hardware makes the engine bay look as intentional as it sounds.
For F-chassis cars with the 3.0T B58 from 2016 on - M140i, M240i, 340i, 440i and equivalents. Earlier 3.0T cars run the N55, covered by the MST N55 intake kit, so check your engine code where model years overlap and confirm the part number before ordering.
