More comfort off road, with control for the journey home
Your Ranger doesn't have to use the same sway-bar setting on a rough trail as it does on the road. APEX airLYNX front links let you soften the factory bar's response by changing air pressure, giving the front suspension more freedom off road, then restoring the street setting before you drive home.
SKU: X02-09-016
Change the response of your factory sway bar
The links adjust the effective response of the existing front sway bar rather than replacing the bar itself. Higher pressure gives more resistance; lower trail pressure lets the suspension move more freely over uneven ground. You can find a setting that feels right for the terrain while retaining a separate road setting.
Use the right pressure for the journey
The Ranger fitting guide specifies a minimum of 150 psi and a maximum of 300 psi for street use. Trail pressure starts at 0 psi and can be increased to suit the feel you want. Restore the street pressure before returning to the road; do not use the zero-pressure trail setting on the street.
Charge them without losing the setting
The small air volume makes the charging connection important. Use a zero-loss chuck so the valve closes before you disconnect it. The guide recommends a bike shock pump with a suitable zero-loss chuck; choose a pressure source that can reach your selected setting.
Reconnecting a gauge or pump takes air from that small volume, so the new reading will be lower than the pressure you originally set. Treat reconnecting as a pressure-adjustment session, not a way to check the untouched charge. Recharge at least every six months if the links have not been discharged.
Fitting and long-term care
These front links fit the 2019-onwards Ford Ranger and Ranger Raptor. The fitting guide covers replacing both factory links, keeping the link body steady while tightening its hardware, and checking the installation. Use a competent installer for this suspension work.
The finish resists salt and many chemicals. Wash with suitable mild products and avoid strong acid wheel cleaners. The links are rebuildable through the appropriate service route if damage makes repair worthwhile.

Guide dimensions
10.1-12.1 in with top-out and bottom-out bumpers compressed; not a lift-height range
Change the air pressure using a suitable pump and zero-loss chuck. Use 150-300 psi for street use and a lower setting from 0 psi upwards for the trail, restoring the street setting before road use.
Can I use an ordinary tyre chuck?
Use a zero-loss chuck. A normal chuck can release a meaningful part of the link's small air charge as you remove it.
Why does the pressure seem lower when I reconnect the pump?
Air moves into the pump or gauge connection from the link. That lowers the pressure, so reconnecting does not show the undisturbed original setting.
Will any on-board compressor cover the full adjustment range?
Check its output against the setting you want. The airLYNX street range extends to 300 psi; the guide recommends a suitable bike shock pump with a zero-loss chuck. A tyre-inflation compressor should not be assumed to cover that whole range.
How often do I need to recharge them?
The fitting guide calls for a recharge every six months if the links have not been discharged. Recheck the correct road setting whenever you change from trail to road use.
