The small air volume inside airLYNX makes the chuck important. This zero-loss connection seals before opening the valve and closes the valve before breaking that seal, so disconnecting does not release the charge you have just put into the link.

The kit includes the zero-loss chuck, a 1ft APEX braided hose whip and a 1/4 NPT fitting for a separately chosen quick coupling. It is rated to a maximum of 300 psi. Your pressure source and every connection must suit the setting you intend to use.
For our Ranger and Ranger Raptor airLYNX front links, road pressure is 150-300 psi and the fitting guide recommends a bike shock pump with a zero-loss chuck. A tyre compressor that cuts out at 150 psi cannot provide the whole adjustment range.
Reconnecting a pump or gauge takes air from the small link volume, so it changes the reading. Treat reconnection as a chance to reset the pressure rather than measure the original charge untouched.

A conventional chuck can release air while disconnecting. The zero-loss sequence is important for the small air volume in airLYNX.
Only for settings the compressor can actually reach. The Ranger airLYNX road range extends to 300 psi, so a 150 psi cut-out does not cover the full range.
It includes a 1/4 NPT fitting so you can add a coupling that matches your pressure source.
