Build the underside for the heat and terrain ahead.
Some trips demand more than a guard designed for cool, mixed-weather use. Almont’s Emirat front plate is aimed at hot climates and demanding sport use, including dunes, where protection has to work alongside the Raptor’s cooling needs.
The 8 mm alloy guard covers the exposed front underside, with a design intended for conditions such as the Mediterranean, North Africa and the UAE. For a Raptor heading into that heat, cooling airflow matters alongside the strength of the guard.

Emirat covers the front radiator-guard area, differential, engine, steering gearbox, front transmission area and A/C condenser. Its design suits climates exceeding 35°C and installations needing extra cooling around the differential, steering box, exhaust and supplementary ATF coolers.
That does not make it a transmission cooler or prove compatibility with every accessory. It is the front-guard design we would favour when sustained heat, dune use or the planned cooling package is central to the build.
Both use HeavyDuty 8 mm EN AW-5083 H111 aluminium alloy. Emirat weighs 19 kg; Continental weighs 18 kg.
Continental is intended for cooler mixed use without intensive dune driving or supplementary ATF cooling. For a predominantly UK road-and-track life that may be enough. For hotter routes, Emirat’s intended use is the reason to choose it.
The matching gearbox/transfer guard extends protection behind the front section and needs the linked front mounting arrangement. Fuel-tank protection is a further, separate choice.
Plan the guards alongside cooling accessories and the bull bar so access, airflow and mounting clearances work together. The front plate is only one part of that installation.
After substantial impacts, inspect the plate, mountings and neighbouring cooling components. Clear packed sand or mud so it cannot obstruct airflow.
