Factory plastic boost pipes on the MK2 Focus TDCi restrict airflow and can break down as the years pile on — and a split boost pipe means limp mode at the worst moment. This MST Performance silicone boost hose kit replaces them with smooth-bore silicone across the 1.6, 1.8, 2.0 and 2.5 TDCi applications of 2004-2012, upgrading reliability and flow in one job on a car now well into its second decade.
Boost plumbing lives with heat cycles, oil mist and constant pressure changes; plastic gets brittle doing that job for fifteen-plus years. Silicone shrugs it off, and the smooth interior of these hoses keeps the charge-air path flowing cleanly. Doing the whole intake side?
