The Apex Chassis KIT125 2.5-Ton ProLock Steering Kit replaces the factory tie rod and drag link on a Wrangler JL or Gladiator JT with steering hardware built for big tyres and real terrain. Factory linkages flex and work loose as tyre size and trail speed rise - the well-known route to death wobble and vague, nervous steering. This kit answers it with 2.5-ton rated polished aluminium rods, integrated adjusting sleeves, forged steel ends and the ProLock locking system that stops tie rod rotation once set. It fits the stock Dana 30/44 axles with the standard under-knuckle mount. It is a genuine Apex Chassis part, imported to the UK.
Most steering kits rely on jam nuts alone to hold adjustment. ProLock uses a machined keyway cut into the tie rod end threads with a matching keyway washer, plus proprietary jam nuts carrying set screws - so once your alignment is set, the linkage cannot rotate itself loose. On a Jeep that sees rocks, ruts and full-lock abuse, that is the difference between an alignment that lasts a day and one that lasts.
Confirm your Jeep is a JL or JT on stock Dana 30/44 axles with under-knuckle steering before ordering - fitment shown is manufacturer reference. Aftermarket knuckles, high-steer setups or dual stabilisers need checking against the kit's oversized components before you commit. Plan a full alignment after installation and set the ProLock hardware to spec.

It replaces the flex-prone factory tie rod and drag link with oversized locked components, which removes a major cause. Check track bar, ball joints and damper at the same time - wobble is usually a sum of worn parts.
