The RECARO P 1300 GT LW gives you close support, integrated head protection and replaceable pads to tailor the seat around your body. Its lightweight carbon shell meets FIA 8862-2009 Advanced Racing Seat requirements for GT and touring-car competition. Settle into a defined driving position and concentrate on the next lap. For a shared endurance car, the optional adjustable sidemount makes changing drivers more practical too.

The low hip point, shock-absorbing foam and flame-retardant covering build support around the driver. The CFRP shell is 11% lighter than the regular P 1300 GT shell: approximately 11 kg bare, or 14 kg with pads and upholstery. The premium buys a lighter shell with FIA 8862-2009 Advanced Racing Seat homologation.
The included M pad kit suits a medium build. Optional S, M Mid and L kits, plus individual support pads, let you tailor the contact around the driver. Add the flexible sidemount and you also gain 130 mm of fore-and-aft travel and 3° of tilt adjustment. That is particularly useful when drivers with different seating positions share the car. The sidemount is additional and its installation geometry is based on the specified 8.5° floor slope.
The seat is designed for head-and-neck restraint systems and 4-, 5- or 6-point harnesses. Install it with the specified mount, harness geometry and adequate helmet/head-protector clearance. This is a competition seat without ABE road approval.
The FIA 8862-2009 approval period is 10 years, subject to the seat label and your championship’s requirements. Keep the shell, mounts and pads in good condition and follow RECARO’s inspection and accident-replacement requirements. The replaceable pad system also helps maintain the fit as padding wears.

No. The flexible sidemount is an additional accessory. The seat includes the M pad kit.
The replaceable pad choices and optional fore-and-aft sidemount make the seat suitable for tailoring to different drivers. Each driver still needs the correct fit with the harness and head-and-neck restraint.
The LW uses the lighter shell, with an 11% reduction in bare-shell weight. It retains the Advanced Racing Seat role rather than becoming a road seat.
This is a competition seat without ABE road approval.
