The Nostrum BMW B48/B46 Gen 1 2.0 High Flow DI Injector Set gives BMW's four-cylinder turbo the same kind of fuelling headroom the six-cylinder cars have had for years. Sold as a matched set of four, these injectors flow 35% more than the factory unit and use an 8-hole spray pattern to keep fuel distribution even in the chamber. On a mapped B48 or B46, the standard injector is a real ceiling once boost rises or an ethanol blend goes in the tank, and a maxed injector means the calibration has to give ground instead of using the hardware you have already paid to fit. This set removes that limit on the injector side and gives a tuner room to work with.
Factory injectors are sized for factory outputs. Once a 2.0 turbo four is running a real map, the injector spends longer open on every cycle until there is no time left to add fuel, and the tune has to work around it. Thirty-five percent more flow, spread through an 8-hole pattern, moves that limit far enough back that airflow and calibration decide the outcome instead of the fuel side.
These are for Gen 1 B48 and B46 engines, the 2.0 turbo four used across BMW's 20i to 30i models and the Mini JCW range. Later Gen 2 engines take a different injector, so confirm the engine code and build date on your car before ordering. A supporting calibration is needed to use the extra flow.
