The MK8 Golf R's factory turbo inlet uses a convoluted pipe whose wrinkled interior does the EA888 Gen4 EVO no favours. This MST Performance inlet pipe replaces it with a big-diameter silicone hose with a smoothed internal surface, straightening the airflow path into the turbocharger. It fits the 2021-on Golf R while keeping the standard airbox, making it an easy, focused first hardware change for the inlet side.
MST's design targets the specific flaw in the standard part — the wrinkled internal profile — replacing it with a smooth, larger bore that lets the turbo draw air more cleanly. Because the standard airbox stays, the change is invisible from above and takes little time to fit, yet it upgrades every single thing the engine breathes.
