BMW's 2.0T N20 did the heavy lifting across the F-chassis years, and this MST Performance inlet pipe gives those cars a direct high-flow replacement for the restrictive factory inlet. It covers the 1 Series F20/F21 and 2 Series F22/F87 (2012-2015), the 3 Series F30/F80 (2014-2016) and the 4 Series F32/F82 (2013-2016). For a four-cylinder turbo that so many of these cars share, the inlet is a simple, sensible piece of hardware to get right - and this one fits the way the original does.
The N20 breathes through a factory pipe built for cost and quietness, and that is the piece this replaces: same route, higher flow, made for these chassis rather than adapted to them. Note the year windows differ by series - 2012-2015 for the 1 and 2 Series cars, 2014-2016 for the 3 Series and 2013-2016 for the 4 Series. Running the six-cylinder N55 instead? Its MST inlet pipe is separate, and the full MST Performance range covers both engines.
