The MK6 Golf GTI never sounded as good as it drove - the restrictive standard air box saw to that. This MST Performance cold air intake system replaces it with precision-engineered aluminium pipework and a high-flow filter, designed to accelerate airflow into the turbo with minimal turbulence. The fitment reads like a VAG greatest-hits list: MK6 GTI and 1.8 TSI Golf, Scirocco, Jetta, Passat, Eos, Seat Leon, Skoda Octavia VRS and Superb, 2008-2013. All fittings for a direct OEM-replacement install come in the box.
MST have refined their intake designs since 2011 around faster, smoother airflow and reduced restriction. On the TSI engines of this era the difference is immediate character: a keener response to throttle and an induction note the standard box completely hides. Standard cars take it as a first modification; tuned ones use it to open up the intake side of the build.
Eleven applications are covered across VW, Seat and Skoda, with year windows that vary by model - the full table is below. These are the EA888-era 1.8 and 2.0 TSI cars; the earlier EA113 GTI engines use the MST EA113 intake kit instead. Match your model, year and engine to the table and confirm the part number before ordering.
