The X3 M40i is a 3.0T B58 straight six wearing sensible SUV clothes, and its restrictive standard air box keeps the disguise complete. This MST Performance cold air intake system replaces that box with precision-engineered aluminium pipework, built to speed airflow into the turbo with minimal turbulence. The result is an M Performance SUV that finally sounds the part under load while staying quiet on the school run. Fits X3 M40i (G01) and X4 M40i (G02) from 2021 on, with all fittings for a direct OEM-replacement install.
The B58 responds to breathing work wherever it is fitted, and MST apply their usual design brief here: accelerate the air, cut turbulence, remove restriction, build with top-quality components. On the M40i pair the reward is twofold - a cleaner intake route feeding the six, and an induction note that separates the M Performance cars from the rest of the range the moment you accelerate.
For the 3.0T B58 in the X3 M40i (G01) and X4 M40i (G02), 2021 on. The 2.0T B48 X3/X4 uses the MST B48 X3/X4 kit, and X3M Competition cars run the S58 - a different engine again. Confirm your model badge and the part number before ordering.
