BMW's 2.0T N20 powered half the F-chassis range - 125i, 228i, 328i, 428i - and every one of them breathes through the same restrictive standard air box. This MST Performance cold air intake system replaces it with precision-engineered aluminium pipework designed for faster, smoother airflow into the turbo. One part number covers 1 and 3 Series N20 cars from 2012-2015 and 2 and 4 Series from 2014-2016, supplied with all fittings for a direct OEM-replacement install.
The N20 responds well to breathing work, and MST's design brief is faster air with less turbulence and restriction, built from top-quality components. Fitted in place of the standard box, the four-cylinder gains a cleaner route to the turbo and a notably stronger intake note under load - on a standard car or one already carrying a remap.
The N20 was replaced by the B48 during 2015-2016, so year alone does not identify the engine - check the engine code before ordering. This kit covers the N20 cars in the table below; 2016-on B48 models need the MST B48 intake kit instead. Confirm the part number against your exact model and year.

Both are 2.0T petrol fours, but the N20 runs to around 2015-2016 depending on model. Check the engine code in your documentation or engine bay - the two engines take different MST kits.
