A Lazer roof-light package gives your X-Class useful extra illumination for the journeys that carry on after sunset. The right light and matching roof mounts help you get a purposeful installation, rather than trying to make a general-purpose bracket fit.
Choose your light kit
Choose by roof arrangement. An X-Class without roof rails can use Standard Linear-42 for approved road high-beam use or T28 Evolution for off-road flood lighting. An X-Class with the specified roof rails uses the separate Standard Linear-36 package, with wiring purchased separately. These are different mounting systems; choose only the lamp package listed for your roof.

A late drive along dark lanes or an off-road route should be something to enjoy. This Lazer roof kit gives your X-Class a substantial lighting upgrade, with a choice between a discreet road high beam and a bolder off-road flood beam.
The selected bar mounts on satin-black stainless brackets shaped for an X-Class without roof rails. It is a tidy way to add useful light without improvising a universal mounting frame.
Choose the view you want
The Standard Linear-42 has a slim aerodynamic housing that helps keep roof-mounted wind noise down. It delivers 15,750 raw lumens and reaches 492 m at 1 lux, with ECE R112 high-beam approval for correct road installation and use.
T28 Evolution is the off-road flood-beam choice, producing 28,952 raw lumens and reaching 735 m at 1 lux. It gives useful all-round visibility across uneven ground and has no ECE road high-beam approval.
Both choices use 5,000 K white light. Choose Linear for the lower-profile appearance and approved auxiliary high-beam use, or T28 when off-road illumination is the reason for the upgrade.
Secure mounts for year-round use
The brackets are made from 3 mm A2 stainless steel with UV-stable satin-black powder coat. Stainless countersunk anti-theft fixings and cylindrical spacers let the installer secure and position the bar neatly in the roof-ditch channels.
Technical specifications
The figures apply to one selected bar. T28 Evolution has no road high-beam approval. Lamp-only weight must not be read as the complete installed kit weight.

Raw lumens describe the light generated by the LEDs. Driver field-of-view flux measures the light within 45 degrees either side and 10 degrees above and below the driver's view. Lux-distance figures describe the specified illumination level at that distance; they are not a promise that every object can be seen from that far away.
Fitting your X-Class kit
The roof-ditch brackets, rivets and spacers secure the bar. Supplied grommets and heat-shrink connectors help make a sealed cable entry and a tidy electrical connection.
Choose the correct vehicle wiring kit and high-beam interface before fitting. Talk to us if you would like help planning the electrical connection. Keep the lens clean, inspect the fasteners and wiring during servicing and recheck the beam aim after installation.
Frequently asked questions
Which option is approved for road high-beam use?
The Standard Linear-42 carries ECE R112 high-beam approval when fitted and operated correctly. T28 Evolution is the off-road option.
What does the T28 add?
Its flood-beam design gives more all-round off-road light: 28,952 raw lumens and 735 m at 1 lux, compared with 15,750 raw lumens and 492 m for the Linear-42.
Does fitting require drilling?
Yes. Rivet fixings go into the roof-ditch channels and the roof cable entry must be drilled and sealed as directed.
Does it fit an X-Class with rails?
This is the kit for vehicles without roof rails. Use the correct mounting version for the roof.
Will I need a separate CAN interface?
Some LED or Xenon headlight systems do not provide a usable conventional 12 V high-beam signal. In that case a compatible separate CAN interface is needed for high-beam switching.

Enjoy more of the journey after dark
Dark lanes, early starts and late arrivals at camp are easier to enjoy with a clear view of the route. This Lazer roof-light kit gives your Mercedes X-Class a substantial lighting upgrade, using a mounting arrangement made for the vehicle rather than a large universal frame.
The light sits above the cab, with the mounting and cable route designed to give a tidy finished installation. Choose it for useful visibility on the journeys you enjoy and the quality of a properly supported lamp.

A useful view without a bulky installation
The Linear bar's low-profile aerodynamic housing helps keep wind noise down. Its optics spread light across the ground ahead while controlling unwanted up/down spill, which helps limit bonnet glare when the lamp is positioned and aimed correctly.
Stainless mounting hardware and the specified roof fittings keep the bar secure. Use the exact rail or roof-ditch arrangement for this kit; rail-equipped and rail-less installations are different mounting systems.

Supplied lamp / arrangement
One Standard Linear-36 and the mounting arrangement for the specified roof rails
Mounting hardware
Brackets, spacers, rivets, cable grommets and butt splices; additional support material is separate
Installation details
The roof-rail installation drills 5 mm fixing holes for the riveted mounts and 9 mm cable holes including the roof entry. Use the grommets, sealing and butt splices, and route cables clear of airbags. Additional support material is not included. The Standard Linear-36 wiring harness is separate.
Fitting your lights
For Mercedes X-Class with the specified roof rails. Wiring is separately required.
Fitting and high-beam connection
Follow the exact vehicle fitting instructions for the mounting position, trimming, fixing holes and cable route. Have the lamps aimed together where a pair is fitted and test the switching before use.
The electrical connection needs the correct fused supply and high-beam trigger. A compatible CAN interface is a separate installation component where the vehicle does not provide the required conventional signal. Talk to us if you would like help choosing that connection.
Looking after your lights
Keep the lenses clean and check the fixings, cable protection and electrical connections during servicing. The quoted LED design life is not a guarantee of the complete installation's lifespan, and the warranty remains subject to its terms.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the highest output on the road?
These selected lamps have the road high-beam approval and reference shown for their exact specification. Wire them for compliant high-beam switching and aim them correctly. They do not add yellow or warning-beacon modes.
Will it switch with my high beams?
The installation needs a usable high-beam signal. Where the vehicle does not provide one, a compatible separate CAN interface is needed. Test the actual signal rather than assuming every LED-headlight vehicle uses the same connection.
What is the difference between lumens and lux distance?
Raw lumens describe the light generated by the LEDs. Driver field-of-view flux describes useful light within 45 degrees either side and 10 degrees above and below the driver's view. A lux-distance figure states the illumination level at that distance, rather than how far every object can be seen.
