ARB Bushranger Covert 12,000lbs Wire Winch adds controlled electric pulling capability for self-recovery and assisted vehicle recovery. A vehicle-mounted electric winch provides a repeatable pulling system where straps or traction boards alone cannot recover the vehicle. 7hp 12-volt motor, the Bushranger COVERT winch is the first Australian-designed 4X4 winch without an externally mounted control box.
Choose the winch around vehicle mass, mounting space, line type and the recovery methods used. The winch cradle or bumper must support the load, the fairlead must suit the rope, and the battery and cables must supply the required current. Leave access for the clutch, isolator and line inspection.
Confirm pulling capacity, rope type, dimensions and mounting pattern against the vehicle's winch mount. Plan the fairlead, isolation, cable route and battery condition. Professional installation is appropriate where the bumper, wiring or vehicle safety systems are affected.
