The APEX Design USA Rapid Inflation Valve (RIV) is built for one job: getting tyres back to road pressure fast. Because there is little to no pressure drop across the valve, the compressor does far less work - paired with a compressor delivering 120 PSI and 10 CFM, sub-10 second air-up times are achievable. Less restriction also means less heat and less wear on the compressor itself, so the whole airing-up routine gets quicker and kinder to your kit. The RIV is for dual valve-stem wheels only, and the sets of 4 and 5 include the matching RIV chuck.
Standard valve cores throttle airflow, which is why airing up takes as long as it does. The RIV removes that restriction, so the same compressor fills the same tyre in a fraction of the time. Compared with waiting on a standard core, the difference is measured at the trailhead - and your compressor runs cooler doing it. For onboard air plumbing, keep the fill line at 0.188 inch ID minimum so the valve can flow as designed.
Confirm your wheels have dual valve stems before ordering - the RIV occupies one stem for inflation while your standard stem keeps its normal role. Choose the set size to match your wheel count, and remember the single valve comes without the chuck, so order the chuck separately if you do not already run one. Works with large shop compressors, onboard air systems and auto shut-off regulators.

No - the RIV is for dual valve-stem wheels only. If your wheels have a single stem, look at the APEX RCV or RPV valve families instead.
Yes - the RIV uses its own screw-on chuck, included with the sets of 4 and 5. Single valves do not include it, and it is not compatible with standard Schrader chucks.
With a compressor delivering 120 PSI and 10 CFM, sub-10 second air-up times are achievable. Smaller compressors still gain from the reduced restriction, just at their own pace.
Add the RIV screw-on air chuck as a spare or second connection point and airing up stops being the slow part of the day.
