Fitment And Setup Checks
Before installing, check the tips of your existing valve stems for imperfections - the stem end must be in perfect condition for the RCV to seal. If a valve leaks after installation, remove it, file the stem tip square and flat, apply 3 to 4 wraps of PTFE tape to the stem threads and refit. Buying a single RCV? It comes without the installation tool, so plan for that or order the tool separately.

Why does the valve stem tip condition matter?
The RCV seals against the stem tip. If the tip is damaged or uneven, file it square and flat, add 3 to 4 wraps of PTFE tape to the threads, and refit - that resolves the typical installation leak.
Does the single RCV come with the tool?
No - only the sets of 4 and 5 include the installation tool and decal. The replacement tool is available separately.
