Apex KIT410 gives you both front inner and outer tie rod assemblies in a design 33% larger than OE, with forged housings, chromoly studs and serviceable joints. It fits the 2010-2024 4Runner and 2010-2014 FJ Cruiser in 2WD or 4WD form.

SAE 1045 forged steel housings are CNC machined around metal-to-metal bearings, with hot-forged SAE 4140 chromoly studs polished for smooth bearing movement. Rolled and stepped threads provide the connection between the components. The larger design and durable E-coat finish make this a worthwhile upgrade when the original links are due for replacement.
Flexible CR rubber accordion boots help keep contaminants out while allowing steering articulation. Grease channels distribute lubricant around the studs, and the supplied grease fittings give you a straightforward way to maintain the joints. That serviceability matters on a truck that sees mud, water and regular trail use.
The kit suits lifts up to 3 in, with limit straps required above 3 in. It does not fit the Fabtech 6 in lift with Fabtech ductile iron knuckles. Other aftermarket knuckles or top-mount tie rod arrangements may not fit, so those modified combinations need checking before installation.
The assemblies arrive pre-assembled, but fitting still involves separating the inner and outer sections to install them on the steering rack. Have the work and wheel alignment completed properly, then inspect the boots and jam-nut torque at oil changes. Add grease only as needed: overfilling can damage the boots.

The FJ Cruiser application is 2010-2014, 2WD or 4WD. The separate 4Runner application runs from 2010-2024.
The kit is suitable up to 3 in. Above 3 in, limit straps are required. The Fabtech 6 in lift with Fabtech ductile iron knuckles is excluded.
Aftermarket knuckles and top-mount tie rod arrangements may not fit. Those combinations need a compatibility check rather than relying on the model-year application alone.
The Apex design is 33% larger than OE. That is a design-size comparison, not a tested percentage increase in strength.
Inspect the boots and jam-nut torque at oil changes, grease as required without overfilling, and have a wheel alignment after installation.
