When the upper ball joints on your Tacoma need replacing, Apex KIT215 gives you a pair built with forged steel housings, chromoly studs and greaseable joints. You get two BJ137 front upper ball joints for 2005-2023 Tacoma 2WD or 4WD models, with grease fittings and mounting hardware included.

The knurled SAE 1045 steel housings are CNC machined. Hot-forged SAE 4140 chromoly studs receive induction heat treatment, with rolled and stepped threads for the mounting hardware. Together they make a substantial replacement for the worn upper joints on your truck.
CR rubber boots help protect the bearings from road dirt, while pre-threaded grease ports make fitting the supplied zerks straightforward. The joints arrive pre-greased, and gull-wing grooves distribute lubricant around the studs. Being able to grease and inspect them gives you a practical way to look after the upgrade as the miles build.
KIT215 contains two BJ137 joints, covering the front upper positions on both sides. The housings are knurled, so check the mounting bores for the correct press fit before installation. These are upper joints; choose the lower replacements separately if those also need attention.
We recommend professional fitting, inspection of the joint mounting bores and a wheel alignment afterwards. Include the grease fittings and rubber boots in your regular front-end checks, particularly after muddy or wet use. The joints arrive pre-greased; add grease as required without overfilling the boots.
If the tie rods are worn too, our KIT400 inner and outer tie rod pair covers the 2005-2023 Tacoma 2WD/4WD steering links. That kit suits lifts up to 3 in, requires limit straps above 3 in and excludes the Fabtech 6 in lift with ductile iron knuckles. Other aftermarket knuckle or top-mount arrangements need checking.
