A tidy mounting surface
The CNC-cut 1/8-inch steel panel sits close to the tailgate, with mounting offsets to keep the panel away from the paint. Hammer Black powder coat finishes the steel, and it is made in the USA. The design accommodates the third-brake-light wiring.
Arrange the equipment around your trips
Suitable straps, bolts, Quick Fists or other MOLLE attachments let you mount first-aid equipment, tools, pouches or an extinguisher. Compatible device-base positions use 1.9-inch/48.5 mm AMPS spacing for the supported RAM Diamond Base, Bulletpoint and Quad Lock systems. Gear, holders and attachment accessories are separate purchases.
Allow for drilling and rivet nuts
Although the finished panel bolts into place, preparation includes opening the specified factory holes and fitting rivet nuts. The guide also requires drilling the plastic accessory-ready holes. If a lower rivet nut does not fit its slot, that slot needs opening as described in the guide.
