Give yourself more options when you get stuck
When your tyres can't get you out, a winch gives you another way to move your vehicle. The Bushranger Covert RWC120S combines synthetic rope, wired or wireless control and an integrated design that keeps the front installation tidy. It is a practical addition for trips where you want self-recovery equipment ready to use, with capacity and mounting chosen for your loaded vehicle.
SKU: XRERWC120S
Keep the front installation tidy
The Covert's electrical control components are built into the winch assembly, so there is no separate control box sitting on top of the bar. You get a compact installation with fewer separate items to position. The vehicle's bar or cradle, fairlead opening and clearances still need to suit the exact winch.
Wired or wireless control
The supplied remote works wirelessly or through its wired connection. The gearbox-mounted brake holds the load, while the Covert design allows no-load powered rope payout. Plan the recovery from a safe position and follow the operating instructions throughout.
Handling the synthetic rope
Synthetic rope is easier to handle and contributes less weight than the equivalent wire-rope version. Keep it clean, inspect it for abrasion and protect it from sharp edges during recovery.
What is included
The winch is supplied with 24 m of 11 mm synthetic rope, an aluminium hawse fairlead, a dual-connection remote, isolation switch, hook, pull tag and mounting hardware. The vehicle-specific winch bar or cradle, installation and other recovery equipment are separate.
Understanding the pulling capacity
The 12,000 lb rating is first-layer line pull. Available pull reduces as more rope layers build up on the drum, and a bogged or inclined vehicle can demand far more force than its rolling weight suggests. Match the winch, mount and recovery equipment to the loaded vehicle and intended use. This is a vehicle recovery winch, not a lifting hoist.
Fitting and looking after your winch
Use a suitable winch-rated mount and have the electrical supply and isolation installed correctly. Inspect the rope, hook, fairlead and mount before use, clean them after muddy trips and follow the manual for duty cycle and cooling pauses. Recovery training is worthwhile before you need the winch on a difficult day.
Keep your recovery equipment together
Our ARB Premium Recovery Kit keeps supporting equipment together in a carry bag, including gloves, straps, a tree protector, shackles, a snatch block and a recovery damper. It is available separately. Match the accessories to the load and recovery method you are using.

Frequently asked questions
Is the 12,000 lb figure the weight of vehicle it can recover?
No. It is the first-layer pulling rating. Slope, ground resistance, rope layers and the recovery arrangement affect the force required.
Does it come with a remote?
Yes. Wired and wireless operation are provided by the supplied dual-connection remote.
Will it fit any winch bumper?
No. The cradle, mounting pattern, overall clearance and fairlead arrangement must suit the winch. A compatible vehicle-specific installation is required.
Is it supplied as a complete vehicle installation?
No. The winch and listed equipment are supplied; the vehicle-specific bar or cradle and fitting are separate.
