Make your Amarok more comfortable on the road and the rough tracks
This Old Man Emu MT64 kit suits an Amarok with a 0-300 kg rear load, combining a matched spring package with large-bore dampers. It is a useful step for a vehicle that carries modest work or touring equipment and needs better suspension control without choosing springs intended for a permanently heavy build.

More consistent control on rough roads
The MT64's 64 mm internal bore gives the monotube shock absorber a substantial working piston and oil capacity. As the suspension works over repeated bumps, its aluminium body helps release heat so the damping stays more consistent. That helps keep your vehicle settled over a longer stretch of rough road.
The dampers can be rebuilt, so you can have them serviced as you put more miles on your vehicle. The matched springs carry your normal equipment load; the dampers control how the suspension responds as the road changes.
Choosing the right spring rating
The 0-300 kg rear-load specification is for a lighter equipment or cargo setup. Include the weight of permanent accessories as well as the load you usually carry. If your vehicle carries a heavier rear load all the time, use a kit chosen for that weight; buying the stiffest springs by default can cost you comfort when lightly loaded.
Fitting and looking after your suspension
Have the kit installed and aligned with your normal equipment load taken into account. The 40 mm lift is approximate; actual ride height depends on the vehicle, accessories and load. Check brake-line, driveline and tyre clearances as part of the installation, then follow the fitting instructions for fastener checks and ongoing care.

Questions before you order
Frequently asked questions
Will this increase my legal payload?
No. This is a suspension kit, not a GVM or axle-rating upgrade. Your vehicle, axle and tyre limits still apply.
Will it still ride well when the vehicle is empty?
The result depends on matching the spring specification to your usual load. Heavy constant-load springs can feel firm when the equipment they are designed to support is removed.
How much lift does it give?
The approximate lift is 40 mm. Actual ride height depends on the starting suspension height, equipment and load, so have it set up and aligned with your normal equipment on board.
Does the price include fitting?
The order is for the suspension parts. Fitting and wheel alignment are separate.
Fitment first
Check fit before you order
Model year, engine, drivetrain, hardware and existing modifications can all change what fits. Check the applications and supplier notes above, or send us your exact vehicle and setup before ordering.
