The Old Man Emu EL132R rear leaf spring is designed around a constant 600kg added load, helping a suitably equipped vehicle support that weight as part of a matched suspension installation. It is for Ford Ranger Mk8 / Volkswagen Amarok Mk3 2023 onwards with the applicable leaf-sprung rear suspension.

The 600kg description is a constant-load selection, not an occasional maximum or a legal payload increase. Count the equipment that stays fitted, including the tray or body equipment where applicable, and choose the springs around that regular added load.
If you normally travel lightly, a heavy constant-load spring can make the vehicle less comfortable. If the vehicle carries substantial equipment all the time, the right spring and damper combination helps support that load without asking a lighter spring to do a heavier job.
For EL132R, use OMEU83 U-bolts and the appropriate spring bushes. The matching rear dampers are the heavy-valved MT64 MT64602004L/R or the suitable alternative identified in the OME application guide.
Fit matched springs across the rear axle and select dampers for the spring and load. This is an individual leaf-spring component listing; assemble the correct spring pair, dampers and fitting hardware for the vehicle. The complete setup needs its clearances, fastener torques and driveline alignment checked during installation.
The application guide gives approximately 40mm rear lift for the complete matched setup. The weight of the fitted equipment and vehicle variant affect the final height; Wildtrak models can sit around 10-15mm lower because of their additional weight.
A spring upgrade changes how the suspension supports its load. Stay within the vehicle's legal axle and overall mass limits; a separate approved process is needed for any formal increase in those limits.

No. The 600kg class is for added weight carried regularly. Choose the spring for the weight of permanently fitted equipment and the load you carry regularly. Occasional extra luggage should not be treated as constant load.
No. Fitting the spring alone does not change the vehicle's approved axle or overall mass limits.
A constant-load spring is selected for a vehicle carrying that additional weight. A lighter spring is usually the more appropriate choice when you normally drive without the specified load.
