This Almont gearbox and transfer skid plate for the Amarok 2.0 TDI and 3.0 V6 TDI is cut from certified EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin in 8 mm HeavyDuty grade, 12 kg of it, so the casings above it stay out of the argument when the belly meets rock, rut or buried debris. One part number serves both engines.
A cracked transmission casing is a recovery, a transporter and a big bill; a gouged plate is a story. Almont mounts the plate to the Amarok's original chassis holes with steel brackets and pre-installed bolts, with the mounts designed to absorb impacts and vibration. It sits naturally behind the front skid plate, and the fuel tank plate completes the run rearwards.
