The Long Ranger heavy-duty replacement sub-tank gives your diesel Land Cruiser 300 more fuel storage beneath the vehicle, without filling the load area with loose fuel containers. It is a useful upgrade for longer touring routes, where extra onboard fuel gives you more choice over where and when you stop.

Replacing the factory sub-tank uses the vehicle's existing underbody location rather than taking space from luggage or camping equipment. The spare wheel stays in its original position, and filling and fuel transfer continue through the original arrangement.
This TR92DHD application is for a Land Cruiser 300 diesel fitted with the factory sub-tank. It is not an auxiliary-tank conversion for a vehicle that never had that system. The heavy-duty version adds a protective bash plate for the tank.
The original sender is reused and the fitting procedure includes modifications to its tabs, mounting-hole preparation and fuel-hose work. The exhaust section and tailshaft are temporarily removed for access and refitted. Professional installation is recommended, including leak checks and clearance checks around the completed tank.
A larger fuel load adds weight, so include it in payload and axle-load planning along with the tank and protection. Existing underbody protection may need a different arrangement: compatibility with the transfer-case protection panel must be checked. The dashboard distance-to-empty estimate will not accurately reflect the increased capacity.
Inspect the mounts, hose connections and protective finish during routine servicing. After off-road use, check for impact damage and trapped debris around the tank and its protection. Fuel range will still depend on consumption, load and conditions, so keep a sensible reserve.
