A working Hilux sees plenty of ground that is not kind to its underside. This Almont front guard protects the radiators, engine, steering and front differential, giving your Vigo a substantial duralumin barrier against rocks, ruts and uneven entrances. Original and named aftermarket bumper versions are available in 6 mm and 8 mm.
A winch bumper changes the shape the guard has to meet. Each offered version is cut for its named front end, with separate SportDuty and HeavyDuty choices. Getting both the bumper and thickness right gives you protection suited to the truck you use, whether it works on a site or carries camping equipment away.
Choose the bumper actually fitted, then 6 mm SportDuty for lighter use or 8 mm HeavyDuty for a heavily equipped Hilux and demanding rough-ground trips. The 12 offered combinations are all listed with their exact SKUs.
This is certified AW5083 H111 duralumin: a high-strength aluminium alloy that keeps material weight below steel of the same size and thickness. You get a substantial barrier beneath the vehicle, and a scratch in the plate does not turn into red rust. It is still worth keeping the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware clean, especially after winter salt or muddy trips.

For more protection, add the separate Vigo gearbox and transfer guard and two-piece front arm guard kit. The gearbox guard mounts together with the matching front guard.
Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.
We would choose 8 mm HeavyDuty for a heavily equipped working or touring truck. 6 mm SportDuty is the lighter choice for less demanding off-road use.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
Almont provides three years of cover against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
