A holed fuel tank does not just end the day, it strands the truck. The tank on an FJ Cruiser sits low enough to meet rock crests, ruined ruts and the debris you straddle at speed, and this Almont plate is built to take those strikes first. It is 6 mm of laser-cut EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin weighing 9.6 kg, shaped to the FJ's tank area and bolted to the original chassis points with the supplied steel brackets, so the fuel supply stops being the soft spot in an otherwise capable truck.

No. Almont makes the FJ Cruiser tank plate in SportDuty 6 mm only, which keeps it at 9.6 kg; the thicker 8 mm option exists on the FJ front and transmission plates instead.
