A Prado is a great vehicle for getting away, and the gearbox and transfer case deserve proper protection underneath. This Almont guard covers the stated KDJ120 / 125, KDJ150 / 155 and GDJ180 / 185 applications in 6 mm or 8 mm certified duralumin. It must be fitted with the matching front guard.
Both thicknesses fit the manual and automatic applications shown here. SportDuty weighs 12 kg and HeavyDuty weighs 13 kg. We would favour the 8 mm version for a heavily equipped Prado and more demanding rough-ground travel, with 6 mm as the lighter choice for gentler off-road use.
PDT1215B6 is 6 mm SportDuty at 12 kg. PDT1215B8 is 8 mm HeavyDuty at 13 kg. V6 petrol Prados have separate engine-specific transmission guards.
Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin gives you substantial, high-strength alloy protection without the material weight of steel of the same size and thickness. The plate will not develop red rust if its surface is scratched, so it is a good choice for a vehicle you intend to keep and use. Wash off mud and road salt to look after the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware.

For a KDJ120 / 125, add the required matching front guard. A KDJ150 / 155 uses its own front-guard family; match bumper and KDSS configuration on that product. GDJ180 / 185 owners need their matching generation-specific front guard.
Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
Almont provides three years of cover against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
